STREATOR – “Won’t you be my neighbor week” in Streator this week celebrates an honorable children’s show host and his legacy. Fred Rogers, better known as Mister Rogers was the creator and host of Mr Rogers Neighborhood, who instilled lasting values like how to be kind and neighborly. Residents are encouraged to honor his philosophy by serving others this week. This is the second year the city takes observance of Fred Rogers and his message to the community.
