STREATOR – Rain or shine, runners packed Streator’s City Park for the 2nd annual Run for Recovery 5K on Saturday morning. The run/walk was apart of an entire day of overdose awareness events. Debbi Hallam, Race coordinator and founder of Dusty Road’s says since the establishment of her foundation, she’s helped over 800 people on their road to recovering from drug addiction. The all day event featured guest speaker, a number of foundations and medical groups. First place winner of the race, Brian Miller, a Rockford native, says he comes to towns like Streator to run for good causes.
