PEKIN – The Pekin Amateur Hockey Association and Peoria Youth Hockey Association will host a benefit for the family of fallen Illinois State Police Trooper Christopher Lambert, who was struck and killed in the line of duty in January. The is event on January 24th from 9 a.m. until noon at the Pekin Memorial Ice Arena. Various gift baskets for raffle as well as a 50/50 drawing, will be featured at the benefit. T-shirts honoring Trooper Lambert and bringing awareness to Illinois’ Scott’s Law will also be available for purchase. Admission price into the event is by donation only, with 100% of the proceeds, to be donated to the Trooper Christopher Lambert Illinois State Police Heritage Foundation account, for distribution to Lambert’s family.
