Paw Paw School Board Meets; Explores Indian Creek Merger

PAW PAW – At Monday evenings Paw Paw School Board Meeting representatives from the Indian Creek School Board were in attendance to discuss the economics of the potential deactivation of Paw Paw High School. Tuition negotiations were continuing with the board being concerned about the expense of sending the high school students to Indian Creek while also maintaining the K-8 building, debts, and salaries, plus transportation expenses. Further meetings will be planned. If both boards go forward, a question may appear on the fall ballot about the potential deactivation of the high school.
