OTTAWA – An Ottawa man was charged and arrested for multiple retail thefts in Kendall County. According to the U.S Marshals Great Lakes Fugitive Task Force, the Ottawa Police and the Kendall County Sheriffs Office, 20-year-old Isaac Martinez of Ottawa was charged with multiple retail thefts from a gas station located at 303 E. Route 71, stemming from multiple reports at that location starting in June. Authorities say the arrest came after a fugitive investigation ensued on his whereabouts after identifying Martinez as the alleged offender of the crimes. During the investigation it was discovered that Martinez reportedly failed to appear in court for multiple warrants in Kane, Dupage and LaSalle County. The Kendall County Sheriff’s Office arrest warrants for Martinez consisted of three retail theft charges, a felony aggravated fleeing and eluding charge and traffic offenses. Martinez was transported to the LaSalle County Jail with bond yet to be set.
