LASALLE – LaSalle City Council voted to go forward with the process to gain eligibility to administer the Downstate Small Business Stabilization Program to help local businesses at Monday night’s meeting. The program allows small businesses of up to 50 employees to apply for a $25,000 grant as a result of the economic impact of COVID-19. Mayor Jeff Grove explained that the city of LaSalle had to initiate the process in order for businesses to apply for the grant, as applications must be submitted through a unit of local government.
