The investigation continues into a house fire that resulted in two local residents being airlifted to a Rockford hospital. Mendota fire department responded to a call Saturday afternoon in the 700 block of Burlington St.
The residents, two women, ages 66 and 62, were transported to St Paul’s Medical Center then airlifted to St Anthony’s in Rockford.
Mendota authorities say this morning the cause of the fire is still under investigation
