SPRINGFIELD – The Illinois Department of Public Health reported 1,645 new confirmed cases of COVID-19, along with 16 additional deaths. Since the beginning of the pandemic, the state has confirmed 198,593 cases ranging in age from younger than one to older than 100 and 7,672 deaths. The IDPH continues to remind residents that face coverings and masks must cover one’s face and nose in order to work.
