UTICA – Waltham Elementary in Utica is postponing the first day of school. Administrator Kristine Eager says phone and internet access via AT & T is taking longer than expected.
Due to delays, the first day of student attendance will be Monday, August 26th. The district hopes to have phone lines in by Friday and fiber connected by early next week. The district is yet to be set up with security, paging and camera systems. Meet the teacher night will still be held on Monday, August 19th from 3:30 to 6:30 p.m.
