Area Filmmaker’s Documentary to Air on PBS Sunday

OTTAWA – The Midwest Emmy Award Winning documentary series about a Pontiac farmer serving in World War 1 will be coming to PBS this weekend. Director and Producer Kane Farabaugh’s latest project, which covers the experience of Gustave Amm in Europe, will have episodes broadcast beginning Sunday at 3:00 pm on WTTW, channel 11 in Chicago. Episode 1 of the series, titled “A New Kind of War”, won the Emmy© Award for Outstanding Achievement – Writing, Short Form during the 60th Annual Chicago / Midwest Emmy Award Gala at the Chicago Marriott Downtown in November. The subject of the series is the grandfather of retired Ottawa High School teacher Roger Amm.
